The agency directory
Browse and search agencies — New Mexico state and local bodies plus federal agencies — each with its filing contact. Every request targets an agency from the directory, so the letter goes to the right place.
Correcting an agency for your workspace
The directory is shared by every organization using PRA Center, so you cannot edit it directly. When a filing route is wrong for you — the agency told you to use a different address, or moved to a portal — an admin can correct it for your workspace alone, from the agency’s page.
- You can override the filing route, the filing address, and the portal URL.
- You can add your own contact at the agency, and a note explaining why the directory is wrong.
- Anything you leave blank keeps following the shared directory, so later fixes there still reach you.
Corrected fields are labelled on the agency page with what the directory says alongside them, so it stays obvious which values are yours. Removing the correction puts the agency back on the shared record.
A correction applies to your organization only — other organizations keep filing to the directory’s values. New requests pick up the corrected route; requests you already created keep the route they were filed under, and are changed from the request itself before it is filed.
If the directory is wrong for everyone rather than just for you, “Suggest a correction” sends it to be reviewed instead. Any member can suggest one; applying it to the shared directory is done by PRA Center’s operators.
The activity feed
Every request has one chronological activity feed, oldest first, that merges outbound letters, agency replies, internal notes, and system events. It’s the single place to see everything that has happened on a request.
Internal notes
Add working notes to a request for your team. From a note’s menu you can:
- Archive a note to hide it from the default view (and reveal archived notes with the “Show archived notes” toggle).
- Delete a note you authored (admins can manage any note).
Notes are internal to your workspace — they’re never sent to the agency.
Agency replies
When an agency responds, the reply threads onto the request’s activity feed and is labeled with a status (for example, an acknowledgment or a production of records) so you can see where the request stands.
